Special Education Teachers

We are seeking Full-time Special Education Teachers for our Residential Treatment facility. Strong desire to work with a team of committed staff to create a safe and fun place for our residents to learn and heal.

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing a structured instructional program and providing related educational services for  children with behavioral and learning challenges.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree and Virginia Pre K-12 Teaching License with a minimum of 1 year experience teaching.

  • 12 Hour Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • 36 Hour Work Weeks

Hallmark Youthcare-Richmond provides exceptional residential healthcare services to adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. We are currently seeking RNs whose compassion, clinical expertise and excellence are a top priority. Immediate opening for a full-time Youth Counselor (YC) first shift. The YC provides and ensures quality direct care to residents, assist in promoting and maintaining a safe, therapeutic unit milieu, assist residents with hygiene and personal care needs, also implement individual treatment plans as appropriate. The YC documents child care services provided in accordance with procedures outlined in RTC policies and procedures.

Minimum Education requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors degree in a Human Services Field preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

  • Demonstrates through previous work experiences, an ability to maintain a stable environment and to provide guidance to children in the age range for which the childcare worker will be responsible, adolescents 11-17 years of age. One year of previous experience working with adolescents in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Must be certified or able to become certified in CPR, First Aid, and Handle With Care.
  • Must have a valid Virginia Drivers license in good standing.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in English effectively and document information accurately. Communicates effectively with all disciplines involved in the care of the resident.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting and work well with a moderate level of direct supervision.
  • Candidate must possess basic knowledge of adolescent development, child care principles and practices, positive peer culture, and mental health principles.
  • Knowledge of basic psychiatric terminology preferred.
  • Ability to develop healthy relationships with adolescents and consistently apply rules, expectations, and behavioral interventions.
  • Attends and actively participates in treatment team meetings to: design treatment interventions, review resident progress, provide feedback for treatment planning, coordinate activities and daily living events for residents, and provide performance feedback to team members

Housekeeper / Floor Tech (PRN)

We are currently accepting applications for a Housekeeper/Floor Technician PRN to provide a variety of floor care and cleaning duties throughout the facility. Must be able to operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc., as needed.

Requirements include:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Must have knowledge of housekeeping practices and be proficient with major institutional housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to do extensive walking.
