Short-Term Residential Treatment at Hallmark Youthcare Richmond
Customization and flexibility are the hallmarks of the Hallmark Residential Treatment and Educational Center which offers a short-term treatment option for youth ages 12 to 17. Brief stays and highly individualized treatment plans meet the needs of the youth stepping down from a hospital stay or who need a short-term residential stay.
The program is part of Hallmark Youthcare Richmond's residential treatment continuum, which includes longer term locked intensive residential care and assessment/diagnostic services for youth.
Customization is Key:
- Stays are short-up to 90 days-with the ability to modify length of stay at customer request or as clinical needs dictate.
- The focus is on preparing youth and their families for a lower level of care and linking them to the community-based treatment options upon discharge.
- Each service package is customized, including aftercare services, depending on customer request, assessment and treatment needs.
- Each treatment plan features a seamless transition from one level of care to the next, from intake to discharge.
- Milieu focus is on teaching adaptive family and community living skills with developmentally appropriate programming.
- Therapeutic services are customized and will include a mix of individual, family and group therapy.
- Flexibility drives treatment planning, with each youth receiving an individualized mix of academic, social and recreational services.
- Youth discharged from the program have access to Hallmark's continuum of care, as needed and if appropriate, including intensive in-home, mentoring, a link to outpatient services/medication management and family preservation.
- Tight utilization management keeps treatment coordinated and focused and helps to keep lengths of stays on track.
